Quality

Gjendemsjø Fisk has high focus on quality security and hygiene and the aim is to be among the leading companies in this field. Today we have a good sanitary control system in our company and we have a good quality security system with full trace-ability at any stage of the production. Our rawmaterial suppliers have to comply with our strict quality specifications and we regularly make microbiological tests of our finished products. We have one employee working full time with quality security matters. Our factory is HACCP approved and is also approved for Kosher production. The factory is new and modern and fulfils all requirements that have to be fulfilled for production of fresh and frozen food products. In 2004 Gjendemsjø Fisk was BRC certified which means that very strict routines are implemented to assure that quality and food safety is at the highest level.

 

In August 2003 Gjendemsjø Fisk achieved the Directorate of Fisheries' Quality Award. The award is given to companies that have distinguished themselves by top quality on their activity and their products.

 

In 2007 Gjendemsjø Fisk won the 1st price in the Norwegian Championship for smoked and marinated salmon. The winner product was marinated salmon (gravlaks).
